Not Very Cooperative

Whenever the twins go in different directions while we are trying to take a picture, we say they aren't being very cooperative. Ella is usually a pretty good sport at posing for pictures. But, on this particular day, she was ready to go home and it shows. Yesterday, she lined up all of her animals on the couch. She was having trouble getting one of the bears to sit. I asked her what she was doing. She said, "I'm trying to take their picture, but they aren't being very cooperative."

Another hot weekend here. We cooled off yesterday by taking everyone to the pool. Charlie is having a lot more fun in the water. His favorite thing to do is put his face in the water, he just hasn't learned not to breathe when he does it. We think Greta has hit a growth spurt. She is napping like a champ.

Jessica & Kevin met us last night to see TRANSFORMERS. What a fun summer movie! Between dinner, movie tickets & the babysitter, the night was almost as expensive as the night we went to the show in Las Vegas. Needless to say, this is a bi-yearly treat! But, in between the robot violence, it was a clever script & we were all pleased that we chose this movie for our in-theatre experience. I don't think it will be as good on a TV.

We are trying a some new recipes tonight - peach salsa, a yogurt marinade for chicken kebabs, mushroom rice pilaf & chocolate cake. I start getting nervous trying new recipes on guests, so we also have a lot of fresh fruit & ice cream in case one of these new recipes is a flop!
