After our Christmas snow, we took everyone sledding. We had a sketchy start. It took us 45 minutes to get everyone bundled up. For the past three years, I've said I needed to buy boots & never did. My feet grew with both pregnancies & my size 6 1/2 boots were donated long ago. That didn't stop Nick from asking why I was wearing running shoes in knee deep snow. (And, just so you know, the stores are sold out of boots by now).
We were the first ones to slide down the hill, so Ella had to do several runs before the hill would cooperate. Charlie wasn't much into sledding - too cold & snowy. He wanted to play on the slide at the top of the hill. The 10 inches of snow on the slide didn't deter him.
Ella was a bit disappointed that she didn't get to do many runs before dark, but she & Nick went to a sledding party the next day which was great.
