We are deep in Christmas mode here. The ornaments & lights have been out waiting to be hung. Sunday, we convinced Nick to get the tree. It went a little like this:
Nick's team passed around the video at work yesterday & it is eerily accurate. The tree went up Sunday without lights. Yesterday morning, Ella & I put over 100 ounces of water in the base (and it was dry when we got home). We had to move the tree to a different location so that we could tie it to our banister. The kids were super excited to decorate the tree last night, but it didn't happen. Nick is going to buy more lights tonight. Then, he's going to figure out whether the tree will overload our circuits. Then, the kids will start clumping all the ornaments in one spot on the tree. Then, Nick will have to intervene to ensure that last 3 feet of tree has some ornaments. I'm guessing decorating will be finished next week. In the meantime, we are all enjoying the fresh pine scent in the house.
