We started out Day 2 with a {free} pancake breakfast at the firehouse.
I think the fireman have done this before. They were very efficient moving hundreds of people through the line. Every piece of dinnerware was compostable. Pretty impressive.
Of course, the highlight of the morning was exploring the firehouse.
Can you see that someone was a little grumpy that Charlie got to be in the drivers seat?
My sassy little monkeys.
After the carbo load, it was off to the races.
The kids road the 1.5 mile bike parade with gusto.
Charlie & Greta asked why they didn't see me & Jessica during the parade route (charlie is watching the motorcycle policeman & blocking greta's from our view).
It was your typical small town parade - lots of veterans.
Plenty of pooches.
Who's that pretty boy?
Plenty of patriotic apparel (no, she was NOT in the parade).
Silly floats (not that being a retired cheerleader is silly)
More dogs.
And fancy dancing girls.
The kids were so proud of their accomplishment & unanimously agreed that the experience was worth Hogan being a little cramped in the car.
