We are enjoying our first Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. This is the biggest tourist draw for the State - over a million visitors come to see the spectacle.
We weren't ready for an early morning rise on Saturday. Instead, we just jumped in the car around 7:30 and drove near the launch field. All my photos are from the backseat of a moving car.
It was beautiful to see so many colors in the sky. The kids {Ella & Greta - Charlie elected to stay home with Grandma} loved identifying the shape balloons. I expected that the fiesta would include thousands of balloons. Actually, a world record was set on Saturday - 345 balloons were launched.
Next on the agenda, attending a Balloon Glow and Mass Ascension (4:45 wake up call for the morning launch).
