A month or so ago, I was checking out the Groupons for North Denver & saw a Paint & Sip Art night at Whimsy pop up. I talked with my sister about how I wasn't sure I would have anyone to go with before the Groupon expired. So, I didn't buy it.
Last week, my neighbor mentioned that her girlfriends had planned a night out & one woman had to cancel. I was lucky that I was able to join the fun.
The event is set up to walk you through how to paint a picture. Tonight, was a still life of a vase and flowers. If you know what you are doing, you can choose to paint on your own.
I do not know what I am doing so I stuck with the instructional painting. My vase started out looking like a pear.
It was really fun to see how unique each painting was.
The kids think I should hang mine in the living room - or at least our bedroom. I think this is an event I'll have to try taking the kids to (during the day). They would love to create a masterpiece for their new blank walls.
