I had forgotten what a beautiful city San Francisco is. I was spoiled with great weather all weekend. Jessica & I had a fun {almost} 24 hours to explore the city. We visited the Ferry Building for some tasty lunch, walked through Chinatown and sought out a tasty Mexican restaurant before hitting an ice cream shop near Delores Park.
Do you know what happens when you try to take a photo on the sly? You get a photo you aren't too happy about. I should just own it & take it proudly. The ice cream was very good - but we couldn't finish it all - we tried salted caramel & balsamic strawberry.
After she left, I walked in Chinatown & enjoyed a great reflexology foot massage. Then, I headed to my work hotel in Fisherman's Wharf & set out to look for new friends.
I just love the sea lions. They look so cuddly.
My first night with the work folks consisted of dinner and a show. Dinner had a great view & the show is a classic but wouldn't be on my 'must-do' list during a visit. On day 2, we headed to Alcatraz. I've done this tour before with Nick - about 11 years ago. It is worthy of one visit (not two). Hasn't changed since the last visit.
The views from the ferry ride and island are so pretty.
After a few hours on the rock, we took the ferry to Angel Island. Unfortunately, we did not have any free time - we just took an island tour. If I returned, I would skip the tram tour & just rent a bike.
It started to get a little hazy.
It was hard taking photos across the other people on the tram, but I think this is a view of Tiburon.
I loved the little marina on the island. If I had the resources to live in Tiburon or Sausalito near the beach, I would want a little sail boat to scoot around the waters.
